Sett 2024, the outdoor hospitality trade show
Sometimes referred to as the “camping show“, the Sett trade show will be held from November 5 to 7, 2024 at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier. More specifically, it’s the trade show for tourism equipment and techniques.
A not-to-be-missed event for Europe’soutdoor hospitality industry, it is organized by the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air (FHPA) Occitanie and its regional partner federations.
It brings together managers of tourist establishments, local authorities and outdoor tourism service providers.
The Sett showcases the latest innovations, products and services in the sector.
The 2024 edition will also be marked by the 50th congress of the national federation of the HPA, a major event for the outdoor hotel industry.
The exhibition covers a wide range of topics, from equipment and green spaces to communication services and digital solutions.
It also places increasing emphasis oneco-responsibility, a crucial issue for the tourism industry.
Sett 2024 will also feature conferences, demonstrations of innovative products and the presentation of the Sett d’Or Trophies, rewarding the best innovations.

The event will take place from November 5 to 7, 2024 at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier.
The site offers more than 60,000 m² of exhibition space spread over 10 halls, where over 700 exhibitors present their products and services related to outdoor tourism.

The show is exclusively reserved for professionals and is open by invitation only.
Sett exhibitors cover many areas of outdoor tourism, including:
- HORECA facilities (hotels, restaurants, cafés),
- games and leisure activities,
- swimming pools and wellness,
- rental accommodation,

- communication services and digital solutions.
In terms of visitors, the show attracts :
- campsite managers,
- gîte owners,
- hotels,
- restaurants,
- technical managers from local authorities,
- landscapers.
In addition to French professionals, around 10% of visitors come from abroad, reinforcing the international importance of the show.
Sett d’Or and innovations
One of the highlights of the show is the Sett d’Or Awards, which recognize the most outstanding innovations in the sector.
In 2024, particular attention will be paid to eco-responsible solutions, in line with theECOSett initiative, a program designed to promote sustainable approaches in tourism.

The SETT d’Or de l’Innovation 2024 winners
Out of 500 applicants, five projects stood out in 2024, embodying a vision of eco-responsible, connected tourism:
- CULBUTO: A solar-powered, pest-free rotating composter that turns biowaste into compost.
- 2YL-ECOLUDIK: An interactive educational screen encouraging holidaymakers to reduce their water and energy consumption.
- HABILEV: A system for raising mobile homes to protect them from flooding in high-risk areas.
- QUANTIA: A compact, environmentally-friendly water heater that preheats water using grey water, for greater energy efficiency.
- STME FIRE: A fire-fighting solution specially designed to protect tourist sites exposed to forest fires.

A number of conferences will be held, covering a variety of key topics such as market trends, the challenges of eco-responsibility, and new technologies.

In 2023, the 44ᵉ edition of the Sett trade show was a great success, confirming its status as the European benchmark for outdoor hospitality professionals.

The show welcomed :
- 18,348 trade visitors, including around 10% international visitors;
- 730 exhibitors, offering a wide variety of products and services.
Innovations and Sett d’Or 2023
Sett 2023 focused on new trends in the sector, with a strong emphasis on eco-responsible solutions and the ecological transition of tourism facilities.
Among the winners:
- solutions for treating grey water from showers to feed toilet flushes directly;
- a solution for harnessing the sun’s energy to power air-conditioning systems;
- equipment that recovers rinsing and washing water from swimming pool filters, treating it and recycling it in the pools themselves;
- an innovation with the ability to detect bedbug infestations.
Eco-responsibility and sustainable commitment
In 2023, Sett was recognized for its commitment to sustainability. It was awarded the LEAD label for green events, with a bronze medal awarded in October. This label rewards efforts to organize environmentally-friendly events.
